SAVOURING SOLITUDE

In addition to the striking visual elements, what struck me even more is the visceral reaction I had to the scene, imagining what the walker was thinking about, then what thoughts would I ponder if I was on this solitary walk along a windswept beach on a beautiful, crisp, early spring day.  Would I enjoy the peacefulness, sense a joy in the breeze, the sea air swirling about me and welcomed into my lungs, the sand moving under my feet, the patterning of the water, the low tide? Would I feel the spirituality of the place, would I try to solve some issues that surface into my consciousness, or would I just be grateful?

SAVOURING SOLITUDE celebrates a view that each of us might enjoy encountering in our daily life but since the image falls outside the focus of any of my fine art exhibition portfolios, I post it as a PICTURE OF THE WEEK.
