SPEAKING: "REALISM IN ABSTRACTION"

As a photographer, I practice traditional photography in how I record the image and print it whether it appears on a negative, a slide or an electronic chip in a digital camera. But the way I see and frame what shows in the view finder of the camera is what creates an image that often appears to be a painted abstract, but it is not. I am indeed honored to be invited to give a short presentation about my work to my peers at the DC Chapter of the American Society of Media Photographers on January 13 at 7 p.m., American University, McKinley Building, Malsi Doyle and Michael Forman Theater (2nd Fl.), 4400 Massachusetts Ave. NW, Washington, DC 20016.
